Google unveils its most advanced AI model yet, Gemini 4 Argon, but access is limited for now #
On September 30, Google announced its new frontier model, Gemini 4 Argon. The company is positioning it as strong in enterprise work like software engineering, law and finance, as well as in cybersecurity defense. For now, the model is only available to trusted cyber-defense specialists under the "Fairwind Program"; there's no word yet on when it will open up to developers, businesses or consumers.
What it means for your business: Since the model isn't publicly available yet, businesses won't be able to use it anytime soon, but it signals the AI race among competing companies is picking up speed.Source: Google Blog — Gemini 4 Argon: our next era of frontier intelligence · The Verge AI — Google announces Gemini 4 and says it’s so capable that only ‘trusted cyber defenders’ can have it right now

Gemini gets "skills" to automate repetitive tasks, as Gems is phased out #
Google announced it's rolling out a "skills" feature in Gemini chat worldwide. Users can save instructions they use often and then rerun them simply by typing "/" followed by the skill's name. The feature will also come to Google Workspace's business, enterprise, nonprofit and education customers in the coming weeks, while the Gems feature will start being phased out of personal accounts beginning in November.
What it means for your business: Being able to handle repetitive tasks, like preparing presentations or keeping a consistent writing style, with a single command can save small business owners time, but anyone using Gems will need to switch to the new system soon.Source: Google Blog — Let skills in Gemini tackle your most repetitive tasks

Instagram adds an AI assistant that tells creators what to post #
Instagram announced it's adding an AI "creative assistant" to its standalone Edits app that gives suggestions based on account data. The assistant uses data like likes, views, watch time and shares to explain why certain content performs well, and offers suggestions on captions and trending sounds. The feature is free, but the company said it will offer a Meta One subscription option for heavy users.
What it means for your business: For businesses creating content on social media, this kind of data-driven guidance can make posting decisions easier, though deeper features may require a paid subscription down the line.Source: The Verge AI — Instagram is adding an AI ‘assistant’ to tell you how to post
